The Perfect Paratha
Golden, Flaky & Full of Flavour: Homemade Paratha
A little crisp on the outside, soft on the inside — comfort in every layer.
Few things make breakfast feel as inviting as a freshly cooked paratha. Golden, delicious, and perfect alongside curd or pickle, this Indian favourite can turn simple ingredients into a satisfying meal.
Whether you enjoy it plain or with a filling, paratha is a beautiful way to bring tradition to your everyday table. Prepare it with Ashwyo Organics Wheat Atta and enjoy the pleasure of homemade food, one warm layer at a time.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Ashwyo Organics Wheat Atta
- Approximately ⅓ cup water, as needed
- 1 teaspoon oil or ghee (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- Ghee or oil for cooking
- Dry atta for rolling
Method
- Combine the atta and salt in a bowl. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
- Add the teaspoon of oil or ghee, if using, and knead briefly. Rest the dough for 15–20 minutes.
- Divide into balls and roll each into a small circle.
- Brush lightly with ghee or oil, fold into layers, and roll again.
- Cook on a hot tawa, flipping as needed. Apply a little ghee or oil and cook until both sides are golden.
Serve hot with curd, pickle, or a side of your choice.
Ashwyo tip: Keep the dough soft and avoid using too much dry flour while rolling to help your parathas stay tender.
